What is Corporate Innovation?

Central New York technology companies who are:

  1. Seeking access to top talent from local colleges

  2. Looking to make a moderate investment to explore whether a new product, service, process or other innovation has market potential

Who is this for?

The Innovation Studio Model

  • The Studio partners with tech companies in Central New York on innovation projects

  • Innovation teams of 2–3 students lead each project, supported by the full Studio

  • Each project is a 3 months project from May - August

  • Each company provides a “Champion” to guide the team and help them navigate the people and resources within the company

  • Every team is paired with a Studio “Coach” for weekly support

  • Keenan & Shipley staff oversee projects, group sessions, and ensure success

  • Students gain unique résumé-worthy experience

  • Companies pay a flat “studio fee” covering all program costs

3 Months to Stress Test a New Innovation

Directors of the Keenan Center at Le Moyne and the Shipley Center at Clarkson are directly involved with recruiting efforts on-campus.

Selected students also receive the following benefits from participating:

  • Prestigious Program. Only the top 6-9 students are selected to participate.

  • Competitive Pay. Students are paid by the Studio.

  • Free Housing.

  • Innovation. Students are excited to work on an innovative project that can impact the company.
